Weekly Dope: J. Cole, Dreamville, Freddie Gibbs & More

blame it on Shake April 4, 2022

With another seven in the books, we’re back catching you up on the best new music with the 285th installment of our Weekly Dope playlist.

On the artwork this week, I simply flipped Dreamville and DJ Drama‘s D-Day mixtape cover. Why’s that? Well, that’s because I ended up including the entire project on the playlist. Yes, all 15 tracks! I mean, there really isn’t a weak point throughout, so we might as well highlight it all. Big shouts to J. Cole and the team: EarthGang, JID, Cozz, Lute, Bas, Omen, and the incomparable Ari Lennox. Y’all did that (again).

On top of that, there’s also new music from Freddie Gibbs + Rick Ross, Pete Rock, Gucci Mane (with Key Glock and the late Young Dolph), Wiz Khalifa, 42 Dugg + EST Gee, G Perico + Dave East, City Girls + Fivio Foreign, Ella Mai, Alex Isley + Jack Dine (their Marigold album is pure gold), Normani, Phabo, and more.

Updated every Monday morning, the playlist can be heard below and is available on Apple MusicSpotify, and TIDAL.
