Coming home from prison in early 2021, Bobby Shmurda got his musical legs back under him by releasing several loose singles and collaborating with various artists. Now, following Rebel Vs. Rowdy — the debut album of his brother-in-rhyme Rowdy Rebel — Bobby has released his own post-prison project.

His first project since 2014’s Shmurda She Wrote, Shmurda has released his BodBoy EP. “When I came into the game I didn’t take the music industry serious,” Shmurda says. “I didn’t even really know about the music industry. I didn’t even give a f*ck about the music industry when I first came in the game, and then I see how powerful music was, and like how kids really react to it. I’m taking all of that power into consideration now.”

Led by the singles “Whole Brick” and “Hoochie Daddy,” the nine-song drop features appearances from Fat Tony and Rowdy Rebel. Bobby has shared a video for “Whole Brick” to accompany the EP, as well.
