As she prepares to join The Weeknd and Travi$ Scott on The Madness Tour, Los Angeles songstress BANKS reveals a new video and single “Better.” The first new offering since her 2014 album Goddess, the James Mountford Studio-directed clip has her clad in nothing but dark shadows and gold leaf (and, in some cases, nothing at all), Banks longs for a former lover who has since moved into the newer arms of another. But then it turns out that said lover cheated on Banks with said newer arms. I would’ve been singing the tunes of something that’s a hybrid version of Carl Thomas’ “I Wish” and any number of misogynistic rap songs out. “Hoes” aren’t limited to one gender, people.
