All-star remixes used to be a nigh-sacred commodity in rap, but with the emergence of the digital era rounding up a few high-profile names for a song is as simple as a few mouse button or trackpad clicks. In this particular case, it is Ty Dolla $ign who has called upon the talents of a myriad of artists to remix his already star-studded Free TC single “Blasé.”
“Remix,” however, is not a proper enough term for what Ty$ has done to the song. He’s grabbed Jeezy, Juicy J, Diddy, T.I, A$AP Ferg and French Montana, and split the song into two. A bit much? Sure, but when has rap never been about affluence? And the best part? Future stays on the hook throughout both remixes. Even though it’s short, his hook was one of our favorite Future moments of 2015.
