Although originally slated for a release on September 30th, Drake‘s official short-film Please Forgive Me has arrived earlier than expected.
The 21-minute vignette serves as a companion piece for Drake’s Billboard chart-topping, certified triple platinum (and counting) fourth studio album, VIEWS.
The short, which is directed by Anthony Mandler (JAY Z, The Weeknd, Rihanna), was shot in South Africa and Namibia, and contains the latest videos from the album (following “Child’s Play“): “One Dance,” “Controlla” (Popcaan also makes an appearance in the film), “Hype” and more. Drake’s longtime collaborator, producer Noah “40” Shebib, scored Please Forgive Me.
