Jet Life invades Atlanta.

After releasing a dozen projects in 2016, Curren$y said he’d take a break until his next album arrived in April. But this is coming from a man who just released 13 projects in 13 months (Canal Street Confidential was released in December 2015). So, it doesn’t surprise us he’s finding any loophole possible to continue to get new music out.

In this case, Jetlanta is a “collaborative effort” between Spitta and Jet Life members T.Y. and CornerBoy P.

Named after a recent trip to Atlanta, the trio serves up a six-pack of “lounge room trappy” jams, with production from Don Cannon, Purps and Sledgren.

“The love was so real, we had to lay some jams in honor of the city that we posted up in this past weekend,” Spitta says. “I flew to Atlanta to record and the homies was like f*ck that ‘yaint leavin us out’ (*laughs*). T.Y. and CornerBoy P got on the highway and pulled up to kick it with me. After I laid 20 possible album cuts we rolled an ounce and got busy on a collaborative effort over Don Cannon, Purps and Sledgren beats. Sounds rather “lounge room trappy” — must’ve been that night we rolled thru Medusa for a sec that influenced the sound. I’m sure y’all are gonna love this project and I can’t wait to showcase my homies for their effort.”
