With Tomorrow still in heavy rotation, Dave B is back with another new sound to take over your earholes.
In July of last year, we asked Dave to describe his style…
“I don’t think it belongs to any specific genre,” the Seattle talent responded. “It’s definitely hip hop but I think it’s genre bending. It’s a jazzy, soulful, eclectic hybrid of hip hop. Whatever it is, it’s unique. I haven’t pinpointed what it is but it just sounds cool.”
Cool, indeed. After our interview, Dave kept adjusting that sound on tracks like “Mister Softee” with Jake One and the most-recent “Dive.” And now, despite Basketball season being over and done with, he’s still out here putting numbers on the board with “Buckets,” a smooth new joint produced by Nima Skeemz and Mello Papi.
