Without the hope of a new Outkast album on the horizons anytime soon, we, as fans of Andre 3 Stacks & Sir Lucious Left Foot will take any new music we can get from the duo, revere it and hold it to high esteem. This especially holds true in a world filled with disappointments from artists we hold with such high regards (read: Jay Electronica) – the difference being that 3 Stacks and Big Boi rarely let us down.

Such is the case with the promise of a collaborative album between Big Boi and indie/pop darlings Phantogram (Sarah Barthel & Josh Carter), whom recently wrapped up said project.

Phantogram contributed heavily to Big Boi’s 2012 solo album Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors, featured on three tracks as well as providing production on “Objectum Sexuality.” Word on the curb says the three have secured a Run The Jewels appearance for the new project. And that’s just what we already know.

A select few fans were treated to new music from the trio – who fly under the banner and name Big Grams – at the first annual Epic Fest, which celebrates and venerates the legendary record label and its achievements.

The show kicked off this Saturday (August 29th) at the Sony Pictures lot in Los Angeles – with the three performing, well, a three-song set before Big Boi announced that the album would be arriving soon.

Check out some photos of the event below, as well as an Instagram video of their performance – and keep it locked here for more #BigGrams.
