Corbin (fka Spooky Black) – “Destrooy”

blame it on Patrick Glynn January 16, 2017

Corbin, the artist formerly known as Spooky Black, has been all but silent for almost two years now. In 2015, he, alongside Bobby Raps, dropped the couch potato EP but has since been recluse. This came shortly after he and Bobby, with Allan Kingdom and Psymun, released an album as The Stand4rd amidst their combined hype led by Corbin’s “Without U.”

Monday morning, Corbin return with his first solo song — “Destrooy” — since 2014’s “Worn.” The song is airy, with Corbin’s inaudible but harmonic vocals matching with the reverberated and emotional guitar strums over four and a half minutes. It may not be anything wildly substantial, but it’s certainly nice to see Corbin may be getting back on track for a comeback.
