Sampha visited BBC Radio 1Xtra recently in promotion of his debut album, Process, which is set to arrive in under 48 hours. While there, artists typically perform one of their own songs and also cover another. (Chance the Rapper covered Drake’s “Feel No Ways,” Mick Jenkins covered Jill Scott’s “It’s Love,” that sort of thing.)
The British singer/producer kicked things off with what will probably be one of the year’s best songs, “(No One Knows Me) Like The Piano.” He then jumped into a cover of Roy Davis Jr.’s “Gabriel” — a house song that got popular in the United Kingdom in the ’90s.
