Watch Frank Ocean’s Entire FYF Set, Made By Only Fan Footage

In 2015, Frank Ocean was set to headline Los Angeles’ FYF Fest… only to abruptly cancel shortly before going into a self-imposed exile from music altogether until he returned with a pair of projects in 2016: Endless and Blonde. This past weekend (July 22nd), he made his long-awaited debut at the FYF Fest, marking the first time he performed in the States in three years.

While there are plenty of fan-filmed camera phone clips of his set, Brian Kinnes took it upon himself to recreate Frank’s entire set using every fan-filmed camera phone clip he could find on YouTube… all 73 minutes.

Speaking to P&P, Kinnes said, “I just wanted this video to exist so I made it myself. I haven’t got to see Frank live for myself yet but I think this is about as close as I’ll get unless Spike Jonze releases all the footage he’s been taking.”

Also revealing that the entire process took roughly 20 hours, it’s actually a really well-done and edited video… and somewhat telling of how a concert is experienced today.

Frank is set to perform in New York for the first time in three years at the upcoming Panorama Festival, alongside Solange and A Tribe Called Quest.
