For the last 108 weeks (count em), I’ve been putting together a Weekly Dope playlist that compiles all the music that was released to help fans catch up. On average, each playlist consists of 30-40 songs. So, in an effort to put a little more of a personal touch on things, I’ll also be sharing a list of my personal favorites from the week.
Although things have been rather calm in the aftermath of Drake’s Scorpion release, we still managed to get a few gems this week. Kicking things off with T-Pain‘s excellent flip of Ella Mai’s “Boo’d Up,” I also included highlights from Future‘s Beast Mode 2 and Meek Mill‘s Legends of the Summer EP. Westside Gunn and Conway joined Freeway on a new banger for DJ Skizz, No Malice got back in his bag, and Buddy was straight “Trippin” with Khalid. And with Laura White and Pip Millet rounding out the Top 8 with a pair of grooves, I also included tracks from Lou the Human, Brady Watt, Iman Europe, Dolly Ave and Meg Myers as a little bonus.
