Sylvan LaCue – “Emeryville” (Video)

During Sylvan LaCue‘s transition from his QuESt persona, the Miami native has been repeatedly open about how a woman helped revive his motivations and encourage him to move back home to work on developing his rap career.

His last project, Far From Familiar, documented those experiences and feelings, and the subject of his girlfriend and her influence was nevermore present than on “Emeryville,” named after the town he was hanging out in when he lived in Oakland.

Today, the song gets a beautiful visual — both in the way it was shot and in the quality of its subjects — filmed in the Bay Area. With yellow hues brushed over the visual, LaCue wakes to find his girl, following in her footsteps until she pushes his into a never-ending freefall — a symbol for how he feels now that he’s in love.
