Marvel Studios is pulling out all the stops this year.
After introducing fans to their Marvel Cinematic Universe version of the Sorcerer Supreme last year with Doctor Strange, the giant Disney-backed studio will fully introduce their variant of the webslinger this summer in Spider-Man: Homecoming — a joint venture between Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, and one of the smartest moves Sony made in light of their giant email hack in 2015.
The second trailer for the upcoming film seems to follow the events of Captain America: Civil War, where Peter Parker (Tom Holland) gets hooked up with some pretty awesome tech from Tony Stark, including what looks to be like a brand new suit and spider-bots!
The trailer also gives us a closer look at the film’s big bad,
Birdman the Vulture, played by Michael Keaton as well as other antagonists including Shocker (Bokeem Woodbine), the Tinkerer (Phineas Mason) and Donald Glover in an unspecified role, as well as the consequences Peter faces when disobeying Tony Stark.
Watch the second trailer below. Spider-Man: Homecoming arrives in theaters on June 7th which is preceded by Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and will be followed by Thor: Ragnarok.
