Did Ab-Soul Just Reveal That A Kendrick Lamar/J. Cole Album Is In The Works?

Like the eight other people with him (J. Cole, Post Malone, The-Dream, Tech N9ne, Lloyd, Charles Hamilton, and Pharrell’s Hidden Figures sountrack), Ab-Soul released his anticipated follow-up to These Days…Do What Thou Wilt — as well.

As such, he’s been running the gauntlet of radio promotion, visiting Hot 97 earlier in the week to talk about his project dropping the same day as so many others. It was pretty much the same thing when he sat down with Power 105’s The Breakfast CLub, until Charlamagne Tha God decided to ask about the mythical joint album between J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar.

“I just hope they use my verse,” Ab-Soul says, before somewhat confirming that the two have “something in the works.”

Waitaminute… does that mean that the project atually exists? From a purely conspiracy theorist standpoint, it’s totally possible for the two to do a joint album as both are now on the same label: J. Cole recently moved from Columbia Records to Interscope with the release of 4 Your Eyez Only, while Kendrick has been signed to Aftermath/Interscope for a few years now.

But, you know, don’t mind me or Soulo. Anyways, the part you want to listen to kicks in at the 24:05 mark. Or press play below, where I left it for youse.
